4+ Yrs. Experienced Web Developer to create and manage WordPress Plugins and Web Applications for US based group (Location: Pune, India.)

SigmaTEK Systems is a 25-year-old US based global group providing leading CAD/Cam, Nesting and Automation software solutions, with 17 Global Offices and 18000+ customers. In our team of 270+ dedicated team members, we are looking for front-end-web designer to manage our online web presence through our group websites. These websites are linked with each other and uses WordPress for content management. As a web designer, we expect you to carefully design, manage and update these websites to represent our global brand effectively to our users.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve all group websites
• Maintain WordPress websites and all associated plugins
• Create and manage custom plugins for WordPress as per the requirement
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Develop procedures, documentation and operating instructions
• Provide production support through problem analysis and resolution
• Define and promote web application development best practices and methodology
• Conduct unit, system, integration and functional tests

Must have:

• 4+ years of experience in WordPress web application development
• Extensive object-oriented programming experience and application specific programming experience
• A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts
• API experience including development of integrations with other platforms
• Strong knowledge of Relational Database Systems
• Experience with Bootstrap and WordPress
• Ability to write front-end code in Javascript, JSON, CSS and HTML
• Knowledge of web-based security features and SSL deployment
• Knowledge of integration of payment gateways
• Ability to select the best technology stack for each project
• Understands principles of client/server configuration
• Ability to work independently from concept to deployment and testing of the project
• Ability to coordinate with other team members (such as UI Designer, Content Writer etc.) for producing the results
• Strong knowledge of the use of cookies
• Strong knowledge of the use of cookies
• Flexibility to work with US time zone

• Previous experience of working with US based clients and teams
• Experience of creating websites for Global Markets
• Experience of leading a small team of junior designers & developers
• Experience of working with file sharing and collaboration application
• Experience of managing contents using Sitefinity CMS
• Experience working in an agile development environment and using agile tools

Prefer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area preferred
• Maintain WordPress websites and all associated plugins
• Strong experience building web applications using frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Go
• Previous experience working in data analysis / cloud computing
• Knowledge of ASP.net, MVC and API integration

Reporting:

Directly reporting to the US Based IT & Marketing Team.
