SolidWorks Import
SolidWorks Import Module belongs to the SigmaNEST family of SolidCAD Interfaces. It enables seamless transition of component geometry and design information from SolidWorks to SigmaNEST.
Some prominent features of SolidWorks Interfaces are:
- Support for direct geometry transfer from various CAD/CAM products to SigmaNEST
- Part and assembly level processing,
- Batch processing support
Some of the advanced features provided by SolidWorks import module are:
- Automatic processing of machinable data through advanced filtering mechanism
- Support for multiple configurations
- Automatic unfolding of sheet metal parts
- High level of integration with product design data and information,
- Automatic feature recognition for certain features related to profile cutting domain; e.g. bevel recognition for chamfered parts
- Design to process mapping allowing user complete control over selection of process parameters during design phase itself
